Once upon a time, two children named Victoria(Vic) and Violet(Vi) Nicholson
were exploring the Nicholson garden. Mrs. Nicholson had told the girls to look for green,
stick like plants. Vic and Vi wanted to find them. They were determined to.
“Interesting" Mom said "green, stick like plants.”Vic said. “Bamboo? Stalk?”
Vi wondered. “This does not grow in Carr.” Vic said. Carr was their hometown.
“Vic! Look!” cried Vi. “What?” asked Vic. “Orange and green!” Vi cried.
“I’ll see this.” Vic muttered. “Interesting. Oh look, a note
to Miss Victoria and Miss Violet Nicholson. "Dear Vic and Vi, eat this thing
in the food family I named vegetables. You will find it unique though I don’t have
the imagination to discover it. You kids may discover it. Kind regards, Anonymous.”
read Vic. “Vic, we must discover the note-sender before this vegetable. Gather clues.
Help me figure this out.” Vi said. “Well, we know she is kind of famous. And she has good handwriting. And she is grown up. Is it…Mrs. McNamara in the mansion?” Vic asked. “Give the letter to Morgan. Brace yourself to see Silkie, her silkchon and
Cutie, her maltipoo. Oh, and Cleo, her cavapoo. But Cleo will be nice.
Silkie should be nice, too. Well, Cutie may be awfully energetic.” Vi told Vic.
“Hm. I’ve always predicted I’m too plain and practically normal to visit Morgan.”
Vic said in an unsure way. “Go, Viccie! Tell me everything: about Silkie,
Cutie and Cleo, about the house, Morgan herself! See you soon!” Vi chuckled,
nudging her sister in a friendly way. Vic had left. When she came back, she told
about Cutie’s aggression fit, Silkie’s cuddles, Cleo’s sweet attitude, the large
house and Morgan’s kindness. “Best of all, we can NAME the thing!” Vic
concluded. “Carrot since they ought to grow more in Carr!” Vi cheered.
So the girls named their discovery Carrot and became world famous.
